If the quantity on a contract for a liquid commodity has been specified as a volume, the commodity elements can be entered in the units specified for the commodity.
• | The percentage field will be prefilled with the default percentage defined in the Commodity Element Master data. |
• | You can enter either the percentage or the content in the unit. |
• | If the Density is entered, the other value is calculated. |
Example:
• | A contract volume of 5,000L is specified. This is converted via a Density of 1.03 KG/L to a weight of 5,150KG. |
• | Fat was prefilled with a value of 4%. After entering a value of 0.04KG/L, the percentage updates to 3.88%. |
• | Protein was prefilled with a value of 3.2%. After entering a value of 0.032KG/L, the percentage updates to 3.11%. |
When executing the contract, the averages as defaults can be calculated for both the percentages and for the elements specified in content units. Since the settlement values for both the buyer and seller are next to the values they provide, the same applies to both.
