A check box called Use for matching in each Commodity property indicates if that property should be used for matching. If a property is not checked, you can allocate a purchase to a sale when the cargo has non-matching values for that property. The default for each property is not checked.
Reservation validation is controlled by the following:
• | In commodity property Configuration, a Master data manager can control if the property is used for matching or not. The flag is labeled as Use for matching. |
• | If Use for matching is ticked, than that property will be used for validation. |
• | If Use for matching is not ticked, the property is ignored for any Reservation validation. |
• | All validation except on Commodity and Position and valuation period can be switched off by an option in the Reservation screen called Restriction on / off. |
