Agiblocks uses reporting periods for financial accounting. These could be month-end, quarterly or yearly.
Reporting periods can be set up under the Reporting periods tile in Master data. Reporting period data can be separated into Open, Closing and Closed periods. This separation allows Realized P&L to be reported according to these different accounting periods.
The Reporting period status tile allows users to set-up and administer closing periods which are based on reporting periods.
Reporting period status has its own tile located on the Settings Tab of the Agiblocks Home screen. Two permissions have been created to manage access and editing of data on the Reporting period status screen. These permissions are found in the General section on the Edit roles screen.
The View permission will display the tile under the Settings tab on the Home screen and allow you to view the Reporting period status screen. The Edit permission allows you to view and edit the closing period data for each reporting period.
