When splitting an inventory lot or creating a lost or found lot, there is a field for a document number that is a required and will be used as the lot number. From version 3.28.0 onward it is possible to leave it empty and have Agiblocks generate a lot number for you, using the warrant number of the original delivery with a numeric sub-number added.
When you open the form for an inventory lot, where you can use the action Split, you see that the field for the new document number now contains the text Use default.
You can still enter your own value. But if you don’t, Agiblocks will generate a number for you in the same way as it does for portion numbers: the first part will be based on the warrant number of the original delivery, and the second part on the portion number of the new lot.
