Cancel a Contract

Contracts cannot be deleted, but the status can be changed to Canceled. This removes the contract from view and calculation in other modules.

Contracts cannot be canceled if there have been Futures/Forex allocations or deliveries done on the contract. An error message will appear on the contract if you try to change the contract status for:

Futures allocations

Forex allocations

Deliveries

Only contracts without Futures/Forex allocations or Deliveries can be canceled. For example, a Forex Requirement on a Contract cannot be deleted once a Forex Contract has been allocated to it.

Note: Different definitions for Contract Status can be added in Master data, where an administrator can define exactly which definition has which implications, like Allow Invoicing, etc. This includes canceling a contract.  See the Contract status section under Master data section for more information.
