For most types of trade the physical-size of a trade and the size for hedging purposes are the same (they related 1-1). But for cases like ratio trading and cross hedging they are not the same.
Because traders may want to see both the physical sizes and the hedge sizes, the MtM screen has the columns Hedge Lots and Hedge Quantity next to the columns Lots and Quantity also . For cases where the relation is 1-1, these columns will have the same values. For cases like ratio contracts they have the value calculated based on the market ratio.
As most traders do not use these columns, they are not switched on by default, but users can switch them on next to the standard trade sizes or decide to replace the standard columns.
